Washington State Paint Horse Club named as one of only five clubs to receive "The American Paint Horse
Association 2007 Club of Distinction Award!"
Three other clubs were selected for Honorable Mention status by APHA. The clubs will be honored for this achievement at the 2007 APHA Convention awards banquet on October 5 in Louisville, KY. An in-house panel of judges selected our club for this award because of the outstanding level of services we provide for our members and community, and for our enthusiastic promotion of the Paint Horse and APHA.
A special thank you to Shelley, Ken, and Tyler Bridges. They did a great job of compiling the book and completing all the requirements necessary for this award!

The Washington State Paint Horse Club is one of the first paint horse clubs established in Washington State in
1968 when Howard Yeager was our first club president. Please visit our History Page for an informational look at
how Paints got started in WA State. From the first club established in Washington to one of six clubs now, we
are still going strong and our membership keeps growing.
WSPHC also takes on many special community service activities during the year - such as supporting the American
Legion Food for the Elderly program, the Humane Society, and Equus Sanctuary. Our youth are very active in these
activities plus some of their own - such as caroling at a home for Alzheimer patients and putting on clinics for
local 4-H clubs. Additionally, we put on our yearly "Star Spangled Classic" Paint Horse Show, hold educational
clinics, donate our club's money and our time to worthy community causes.
WSPHC holds monthly meetings which include a social/dinner time, meeting, committee reports and planning time.
In August we have a BBQ and Trail Ride and in November we hold "Christmas in November" as part of our Annual
Meeting.
